10 creative Christmas present ideas

Sometimes Christmas can be made all the more special when we take the time to create homemade gifts. It’s a great way to save money as well as show your loved ones that you care. And the best part? Your kids can get involved!

Here are 10 creative Christmas present ideas to give you lots of ideas as well as some fun activities with your children.

1. Home-baked goodies

Home-baked gifts are perfect for every recipient. Love, time, and patience go into creating delicious treats - your friends and family will appreciate the effort!

2. Scrapbook

Why not make a scrapbook for your partner or parents with lots of help from your children? Get a collection of your best family photos printed, then have fun sticking them down and decorating each page with designs, drawings, and hand-written notes.

3. Candles

Homemade candles are surprisingly easy to make! Candle-making sets will include everything you need for this creative homemade gift.

You can also melt crayons or leftover wax from candles before pouring them into a glass jar and adding a wick to create your very own masterpiece.

4. Snow globe

To make your own snow globe you’ll need:

• A glass jar
• Strong glue
• Distilled water
• 1tsp glycerin
• Sequins and glitter
• Small decorative items - snowmen, reindeer, etc

Start by glueing your decorative items to the inside of the lid of the glass jar. Fill your jar with the water and add glycerin (this will help the glitter to fall more slowly), then add some glitter and sequins.

Making Christmas tree ornaments for family and friends is a wonderful way to make your gifts more personal.

• Foam squares or circles

Cut your image to match the size of the tile before glueing it down.
